The Cougars scored seven runs in the sixth inning, to win a rain suspended game 9-5.

The game was started on the 13th. it rained a while then with the Cougars up 7-2 it was suspended to be finished on the 14th.

Steve Kleen started off the long sixth inning with a walk, he would get to second on a wild pitc. Jeff Bieker then grounded out to the pitcher, which moved Kleen to third. Anthony Recker followed with a single to center to score Kleen. Justin Sellers singled to center. Mike Massaro would single to third to load the bases. Nick Blasi singled to first, on the play Recker would score. Frank Martinez singled to center to score both Sellers and Massaro. Jose Pineda walked. Clinton then made a pitching change. Jeff Baisley walked to bring in Blasi. One out later, an throwing error by the catcher which allowed Bieker to reach, would allow both Martinez and Pineda to score. The throw to first sailed way over the head of the first baseman.

After that one inning the rest of the game was kinda mild. The scoring started in the second when Clinton scored the first run. Brian Valichka led off with a double down the left field line. One out later, Billy Killian singled to left to score Valichka. The Cougars then answered int he third inning. With two outs, Mike Massaro singled to left center. he would then steal second, and go to third on a balk. Blasi singled to right to score Massaro.

The Lumberkings then took the lead again in the fourth inning. With two outs, Valichka singled to left, he went to second on a passed ball. Freddie Thom then singled to center to score Valichka. The Cougars other run scored in the seventh inning. Justin Sellers led off with a walk, then stole second. Two outs later, Martinez doubled to right to score Sellers.

Clinton did come back to score three runs in the eighth inning. John Whittleman led off the inning with a double to center. Joe Kemp then walked. Brian Valichka hit a homer to left.

Brad Kilby did a nice job in two innings of relief for the Cougars, as he only gave up a hit.
