Lets just hope that this isnt an abbreviation offensivly. The Cougars scored seven runs on 16 hits after scoring all of three runs the last three games.
Chris Tritle hit a three run homer to break open the game, he also had a double.Gregorio Petit had a homer and a triple.
Steven Sharpe started and pitched well. He went into the sixth inning, giving up five hits and two runs. Steven also had two walks and four strikeouts. In the first and the second inning he had to get out of jams with strikeouts. He struck out the final two in the first and the final out in the second.
The only bad pitch that Sharpe threw was in the sixth. Alan Moye led off with a single to third. Brian McFall then launched one to left for a homer. Sharpe was then taken out of the game in favor of Robert Semerano.
The Cougars could've scored a lot more than just seven runs they had that many opportunities. In the first, Nicholas Blasi led off with a single to first. Ryan Ruiz then grounded into a double play. In the second with one out, Raul Padron doubled down the line to right. Kory Wayment then singled to center. First and third with one out. Tritle and Petit struck out to end the inning.
With one out in the third, Ruiz doubled to left. Kevin Melillo walked. Tommy Everidge then struck out. Myron Leslie grounded out to second. A one out walk to Wayment in the fourth, would go away, after he was caught trying to steal second.
Blasi walked with one out in the fifth. He then stole second. Ruiz would single to left to get Blasi to third. Ruiz saw the throw from left go towards the plate and rounded first. The throw was cut off and he would be caught up in a rundown for the second out. Melillo then tripled to center to score Blasi. Everidge singled to left to score Melillo.
The big inning was the sixth where the Cougars would score four runs. Padron led off with a single to center. Wayment followed with a double past a diving rightfielder Brian McFall. Tritle then hit a three run homer. Petit followed with another homer. Two outs later, Melillo singled to right. Everidge then walked. Padron would strike out to end the inning.
In the seventh they could've scored some more runs. With one out, Tritle doubled to left. He would be caught off of second on a pickoff. Petit then tripled to left. Blasi would be caught looking to end the inning.
One more run in the ninth for the Cougars. Ruiz led off with a single to right. Melillo then walked, both would move up on a passed ball. Two outs later, Padron singled to right to score Ruiz, while Melillo would be out at the plate to end the inning.
The final three innings for the Bees they would try to sting the Cougars. With two outs in the seventh, Kenard Springer was hit by a pitch. Irving Falu then doubled to right, just off of Everidge's glove. Two outs and Bees at second and third. Alan Moye would strike out.
In the eighth inning with one out, Rusty Brown was hit by a pitch. Ed Lucas then reached on a fielder's choice with Brown being out at second. Miguel Vega then singled to center. The Cougars made a pitching change. Tomas Cabaniel came in for Robert Semerano. Gerald Valentine then walked. Cabaniel would then get a fly out to end the inning.
Cabaniel would get the ninth inning also. Springer led off with a single to right. Falu then walked. Moye would pop out to center. McFall struck out for the second out. Brown then popped out to short to end the game and the Cougars losing streak.
