The Cougars after a slow start found their bat again and pounded

Brad Haynes started his third game of the year and this one was a
drastic improvement over his first two game. He went six innings and gave
up two hits, and two runs. Only one of the runs would be earned. Brad
only walked two and he also struck out three. Haynes at one point retired six
in a row. Nine of the 13 outs he recorded by non strike outs, were on
the ground.
Hansel Izquierdo then came in and pitched three innings to earn the
save. He gave up only two walks.
Kevin Hooper had a big day he went 3-4 with three singles and two
RBI's, plus he scored a run. Adrian Gonzalez also had a good game RBI
wise, in which he drove home three runners. Dominic Woody also had two
hits.
The scoring started in the first for the Lumberkings when Brandon
Watson lead off the inning with a single to left, then stole second base.
Brett Boyer then got him over with a grounder to first. Grady Sizemore
then drove him home with a grounder to third base.
The Cougars came back in the top of the next inning when with one
out Josh Willingham walked. Dominic Woody then executed a good hit and
run play to get Willingham to third on Woody's single to right. Kevin
Hooper then grounded to third. Third baseman Vince Rooi got to the ball
then threw wild to first, the ball got past the first baseman for an error.
Willingham would score with Woody going to third, and Hooper at second.
Kane County would take the lead in the sixth when Miguel Cabrera lead
off the inning with a single to center. Josh Willingham then followed
with a single of his own. Dominic Woody then blooped one to center to
load the bases. Kevin Hooper then singles to center to score Cabrera.
Chip Ambres then hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Willingham.
Adrian Gonzalez then doubled to left to score both Woody and Hooper.
The Lumberkings would chip away at the lead in the bottom of the inning
when Brandon Watson bunted one in front of home plate, Woody tried to
get him at first but the throw pulled Gonzalez off the bag. Watson then
stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. One out later, Grady
Sizemore would ground out to second, on the play Watson would score.
The Cougars added an insurance run in the ninth when Will Smith
lead off with a double to left. Adrian Gonzalez then sinlged to left to
