<L1>COUGARS WIN 3 IN A ROW</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>The Cougars have their first three game winning streak of the year.</L1><br>
<L1>Marc Sauer started for the Cougars and pitched well, going six innings.</L1><br>
<L1>Giving up 3 hits, 1 runs, 1 walk and striking out 1. Sauer retired the first</L1><br>
<L1>six Bandits he faced and 9 out of 11 in the first three innings, only giving </L1><br>
<L1>up a single and a walk before getting hit with a home run to lead off the fourth.</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>Gaige Thomas came in and lasted one inning and four batters, giving up two</L1><br>
<L1>hits, 2 runs, 3 walks and striking out zero. Joe Sergent and Brandon Bowe</L1><br>
<L1>came in for the final two inning and pitched perfectly allowing nothing</L1><br>
<L1>while striking out one apiece.</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>Offensivley the Cougars hit the ball well, Scott Goodman and Paco Ferrand both</L1><br>
<L1>homerd. Kevin Hooper, Scott Goodman and Dave Callahan all had two hits.</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>The big point in the game which can not be ignored was the 8th inning when the River</L1><br>
<L1>Bandits had the bases loaded and no out, with one run already in. Joe Sergent came in at that point</L1><br>
<L1>and struck out the pitch hitter Yustin Jordan. Forced Matt Scanlan to hit into a fiedler's choice which</L1><br>
<l1>scored a run then had B.J. Garbe hit the ball back to Sergent who threw the ball to Callahan at</L1><br>
<L1>first to get out of the jam.</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>The scoring started in the 3rd for the Cougars when with one out Luis Ugueto singeld to </L1><br>
<l1>left. Ugueto then was caught trying to steal second. Chip Ambres then singled to left, Ambres succesfully</L1><br>
<L1>stole second. Kevin Hooper hit a liner over the center fielders head to drive home Ambres.</L1><br>
<L1>Hooper would end up with a double. Then Scott Goodman hit a shot onto the deck in right field.</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>The Bandits would answer in the top of the next inning when Terry Tiffe lead off the inning with</L1><br>
<L1>a home run.</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>The Cougars would get more in the bottom of the inning when on a catcher's interference call</L1><br>
<L1>Kelley Washington was awarded first base. Dave Callahan then doubled to left. Matt Frick hit into</L1><br>
<L1>a fielder's choice with Frick being out at third. Washington however would score.</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>The train kept on rolling in the 5th when with one out Kevin Hooper singled to left. </L1><br>
<l1>Scott Goodman followed with another sinlgle to left. After a pitching change Matt</L1><br>
<L1>Padgett singled to left to score Hooper. Kelley Washington hit a sacrifice fly to right </l1><br>
<L1>which allowed Goodman to score. </L1><br>
<br>
<L1>In the 6th inning with one out Francisco Ferrand hit a solo home run </L1><br>
<L1>over the deck in right field.</l1><br>
<br>
<L1>The Bandits would claw back to within range when Gabby Torres singled to left.</L1><br>
<L1>Tony Stevens walked. Luis Rodriguez then singled to center. After that Gaige Thomas</L1><br>
<l1>issued a wild pitch which allowed Torres from third. A pitching change and one out later</L1><br>
<L1>Matt Scanlan hit into a fielder's choice to score Stevens from third.</L1><br>
<br>
<L1>The Cougars would put the game out of reach in the bottom of the inning when</L1><br>
<L1>Dave Callahan doubled to left. Matt Frick walked. Ferrand then hit into a fielder's choice.</L1><br>
<L1>Kevin Perkins also hit into a fielder's choice which scored Callahan from third.</L1><br>
