Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Kane County Cougars

The Cougars bats fell asleep from exhaustion as they only pounded
out nine hits and one run against Wisconsin.
Clint Nageotte started for the Rattlers and pitched well, going into
the sixth inning. He gave up four hits and no runs while he also walked
three and struck out four.
The Cougars had their chances but were o-10 with runners in scoring
positon, and stranfed eleven runners on base for the game.
Offensivley the Cougars did have a good performance from Josh Wilson
who had three of the team's nine hits. Will Smith also had two hits.
The Rattlers bullpen was solid, combined they went four innings. Giving up five
hits and one run. They also walked one and struck out two.
For the Cougars Brad Haynes started and did not pitch all that badly.
He went into the sixth inning. Brad gave up six hits and one run. The
most important part was that he did not walk anybody, and struck out
four.
The bullpen on the other hand was not as good. Hansel Izquierdo, Eudy
Lajara and Chris Key combined to go, three and one thirds innings. They
gave up six hits and three runs.
The scoring started in the second for the Rattlers when with one out
Pedro Liriano doubled to center, then stole second. One out later, Miguel
Villio singled to right to score Liriano.
The Rattlers would put another run on the board before the Cougars
finally woke up. In the seventh with two outs, Guillermo Martinez doubled
to right. Jamal Strong walked. Damiel Floyd then singled to right to
score Martinez.
Kane County put their run on the board in the bottom of the inning
when Kevin Hooper led it off with an infield single to third. Will Smith
then singled to right. Adrian Gonzalez then grounded into a double play,
on the play Hooper would score.
Wisconsn put the game away in the eight with another run when John
Castellano doubled to left. Two outs later Joe Dusam singled to right
to score Castellano.
In the ninth Jamal Strong led it off with a single to center then
stole both second and third. Daniel Floyd then singeld to right to score
Strong.
