The Cougars would win a wild game, there were a combined 27 runs, 24 hits and 5 errors. The Cougars would score 14 runs, and just barely hang on to the win. The wind was blowing out to center at twenty miles per hour.

It didnt look to good from the start as the Hawks scored four times in the first inning. With one out, Jereme Milons doubled to left. Augie Murillo then reachd on a error by shortstop Gregorio Petit. The throw was off, while trying to get Milons out at third. Javier Brito was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Carlos Gonzales then grounded out to first, on the play Milons would score. Allen Mottram ten hit a three run homer to left center. Orlando Mercado singled to center, and went to second on a wild pitch. Cougar starter, Michael Rogers then was able to get Mark Reynolds to pop out to avoid any more damage.

Somehow the Cougars would be able to come back and take the lead quickly in this game. They scored five times in the second inning. Tommy Everidge led it off with a walk. Chalon Tietje also walked. One out later, Chris Tritle then bloopd one down the right field line to score Everidge. Travis Chapman would hit a sacrifice fly to left to score Tietje. Tritle then stole second base with two outs. Gregorio Petit singled to left to score Tritle. Nick Blasi singled to center. Ryan Ruiz then walked to load the bases. Herrera singled to center to score both Petit and Blasi. The Silver Hawks then made a pitching change. Everidge would strike out to end the inning.

The Hawks would tie the game in the third inning with a run of their own. Murillo led off by being hit by a pitch. Brito then walked. A ground out later, Mottran hit a sacrifice fly to center to score Murillo.

Brito led off the fifth inning with a walk, against Cougar reliever Scott Drucker. Gonzales then walked. One out later, Mercado would reach on a error, a grounder through Petit's legs. On the play Brito would score. Reynolds then reached on a fielder's choice, on the play Gonzalez scored. Mercado then was out at second.

Tietje led off the fifth inning with a single to right. Myron Leslie followed with another single to right. The Hawks then made another pitching change. Tritle would walk to load the bases. Raul Padron pitch hit for Chapman, and would hit a sacrifice fly to left to score Tietje. One out later, Blasi would hit a three run homer to left center. His first pro homer.

With one out in the sixth inning, Milons doubled to center. Murillo then singled to right. Brito would hit a sacrifice fly to right to score Milons. The Cougars came back with a run of their own in the seventh. With one out, Tritle walked. He then stole second and went to third on a bad throw by the catcher. One out later, Petit singled to right to score Tritle.

Five runs by the Hawks in the eighth inning gave them a 13-10 lead. With one out, Milons singled to first. It was a bad bounce past the first baseman. Murillo then singled to left, both runners advanced on a wild pitch. Brito singled to left to score Milons. Alberto Gonzalez pitch ran for Brito. The Cougars meanwhile made a pitching change. James Heuser coming in for Connor Robertson. Tichota got Gonzales to pop up for the second out. Cougar manager Dave Joppie then took Tichota out and brought in Robert Semerano. Semarano walked Mottram to load the bases. Mercado hit a grand slam down the left field line. Reynolds followed with a double to left off the bottom of the wall. Semarano then struck out Brandon Simon to finally end the inning.

Kane County came back with four runs of their own in the bottom of the inning to take the lead. With one out, Ruiz walked, then went to second on a wild pitch. Herrera then singled to center to score Ruiz. Everidge hit a two run homer to left center. Tietje singled to right, and would make it all the way to third on a bad pick off throw. He would score on a wild pitch. Leslie doubled down the left field line. The Hawks then made a pitching change. Tritle walked, both Leslie and Tritle advanced a base on a wild pitch. Padron would be caught looking. Petit lined to left to end the inning.

With two outs in the fourth the Hawks thought they had something going. Emilio Bonafacio singled to second. Milons then singled to right. Murillo would be out on a force to end the inning. In the ninth the also had runners on. With one out, Milons walked. Murilo would get on with a catcher's interference. Wilken Castillo then pitch hit for Gonzalez. Or pitch looked as he was called out on strikes. Gonzales then grounded one back to the pitcher to end the inning.

The Cougars would leave the bases loaded in the fourth inning. Chapman led it off with a walk. One out later, Blasi walked. One out later, Herrera walked. Everidge would pop out to right to end the inning.
