Beloit Snappers at Kane County Cougars
Tuesday, April 30th, 2002
Phillip B. Elfstrom Stadium, Geneva, Illinios
The scoring started in the first for the Snappers, With one out, Scott
Candelaria singled to center. Jason Belcher lined to center. Travis Hinton
then hit a homer into the Leinie Lodge in right field.
In the fourth inning with one out Brandon Gemoll walked. Ralph Santana
singled to right. Ozzie Chaves flied to center. Dan Boyd doubled to right to score both
Gemoll and Santana. Scott Candelaria singled to right to score Boyd.
The real mess was in the sixth when the Snappers score seven runs. It all started
when Brandon Gemoll led off the inning with a double to right. Ralph Santana then reached on
a bunt single back to the mound. A sacrifice fly would bring home Gemoll. Santana then would move
up to second, then onto third on a couple of wild pitches. Boyd popped out to first. Candelaria singled
to center. Jason Belcher singled to right. The Cougars then made a pitching change. Brad Nelson
would reach on an error by the first baseman. It was going to be a first to pitcher, play at first base.
Stokes thew the ball into the stands. Candelaria would score. Brad Nelson singled to left to score Belcher.
Chris Barnwell doubled to left to score Hinton. Gemoll then got pitch hit for by Hector Garica. Garcia
doubled to right to score both Nelson and Barnwell.

Notes-I have to give my first error of the year to a fan, the fans in 115, first row, seat 15.
He gets an error, for not getting the ball that rolled/bounced right next to the wall. He even had
a glove on.
Sorry about not getting this story up before now, but after this game, the way the Cougars
played I don't think you all would want me to break it all down, because i'm still very P.O.'d about the
lack of being in the game.
