Is this how interesting can we make this game or something, the Cougars and the Wizards played a game at eleven int he morning, in the rain for the last half of it, they just had to play ten innings. The Cougars would score twice in the tenth to win the game.
Luke Appert led off the tenth inning with a walk. David Castillo would double down the left field line, Appert got to third. Eddie Kim was intentionally walked to load the bases. Brian Snyder then doubled to center to score both Appert and Castillo to break the two all tie.
The Cougars scored first in the game, back when it was nice and sunny out. Or at least it got sunny out around ten in the morning after a fun time for us trying to get there out of Chicago in a down pour. With one out in the fourth, Snyder tripled off the center field wall. Dustin Majewski then hit a sacrifice fly to center to bring home Snyder.
Fort Wayne answerd back in the sixth inning, when Jordan Pickens took Trent Peterson deep down the left field line. Peterson pitched very well. He went seven innings, giving up four hits and one run. He didnt walk anyone and struck out six. Trent retired the first six in a row, after giving up two hits too the first two Wizards he faced int he third he then retired the next 12 before giving up the homer.
Capitalizing on the homer, the Wizards would score another run in the seventh inning. With one out, Casey Baker singled to center. Skip Adams then singled to cetner. Peeter Ramos would reach on a fielder's choice, with Adams being out at second. Brian Wahlbrink then singled to right to bring home Baker.
Kane County tied it up again in the eighth. Brian Ingram led off by reaching on an error by the short stop. Appert grounded out to second, on the play Ingram moved to third. One out later Eddie Kim doubled to left to score Ingram.
The Cougars did have more chances to score runs. In the second inning, Snyder led off with a walk. Majewski then singled to center, to get Snyder to second. Vasili Spanos would then hit into a double play, with Majewski being out at second. Snyder went to third. Nick Rogers then grounded out back to the pitcher to end the inning.
In the sixth inning Luke Appert led off with a single to right, He would be picked off of first base. One out later Kim doubled to center, that would've scored Appert. Snyder then struck out looking. In the seventh inning Majewski would lead off with a double to right. One out later Chris Tritle hit one to second base, the Wizards had the infield pulled in to try to get the run out at the plate, and they would succed in that.
