South Bend Silver Hawks at Kane County Cougars
May 20th, 2000
Phillip B. Elfstrom Stadium, Geneva, Illinios
South Bend started the scoring in the second when Lyle Overbay
homerd over the right field deck in right.
The Cougars would take the lead in the third when Luis Ugueto singled
to short. One out later Paco Ferrnad singled to center. Scott Goodman
then singled to left to score Ugueto. Matt Frick then doubled to left to
score Ferrand.
In the fourth for the Hawks, Lyle Overbay doubled to right. Doug
DeVore then singld to center to score Overbay.
Kevin Perkins then lead off the fourth for the Cougars with a
single to left. Dave Callahan walked. Two out later Kevin Hooper
then triple to right to score both Perkins and Callahan.
Fifth inning for the Silver Hawks saw with two outs Kevan Burns
doubled to right. Billy Martin then singled to center to score Burne.
With one out in the fifth Matt Frick singeld to third. Matt
Padgett then singled to right. After a pitching change Kevin Perkins
singled to left to score Frick.
More scoring in the eighth for the Silverhawks when with one out
Lyle Overbay doubled to right. One out later. Javier Fuentas reached
on an error by Ugueto, Overbay would score on the play.
