The wind was blowing out big time. It was hot and very humid, miserable is more like it, with the wind blowing tents down almost.
The first two innings saw six runs on the board. Unfortuantly the Cougars would only score their four runs in the first and not score again.
The Snappers led off the scoring, in the first when Ben Revere led off the game with a single to center. Chris Cates then singled to right. Garrett Olson would ground into a double play, on the play Revere scored.
The big inning for the Cougars started off with Adam Klein singling to short. One out later, Greg Dowling homered to right. One more out later, Justin Frash walked. Corey Brown then hit a two run homer to cetner.
In the second inning Cougar starter Scott Deal gave up a solo homer to Steve Singleton. In the fourth he would give up two runs. With one out, Ozzie Lewis singled to center. Singleton and Jair Fernandez then walked. One out later, Ramon Santana hit one back at Deal. It went off of his glove and went into center to score both Lewis and Singleton.
The fifth inning would see Beloit score three more times. Chris Cates led it off with a double to left, He would get to third on a passed ball. Olson then walked. Chris Parmelee then hit his third homer in two days. In the seventh inning the Snappers plated another run. With one out, Parmelee walked. Lewis then doubled off the right field wall to score Parmelee.
Scott Deal was shaky at best in his third start of the season. He lasted into the fifth inning, but probly should've been pulled in the fourth. He gave up eight hits and seven runs, all earned. He walked three, two out of those three walks scored. Deal threw 69 pitches.
Chad Kerfoot gave up the run scoring double in the seventh. After the homer by Parmelee in the fifth he quietly pitched well. He struck out Lewis, and didnt give up a hit untill the leadoff hitter in the seventh. Chad struck out four and walked one. Lance Sewell also pitched well in relief for the Cougars. He went two and one third innings, striking out two.
The day wasn't a total loss, the Cougars did have some chances in the game to get back in it. In the fifth inning, Michael Lissman led off by popping up towards home plate. The catcher couldn't catch the ball, the wind was horrible. It fell in fair territoy on the third base side for a single. One out later, Matt Ray singled to center. Greg Dowling then walked to load the bases with only one out. Larry Cobb then popped out to second. Justin Frash would pop out to center to end the inning.
Adam Klein led off the seventh with a single to left. Ray would strike out. Dowling flew to center, and Cobb struck out. In the ninth with one out, Lissman walked. Klein then struck out. Ray would then walk. The Snappers then brought in a new pitcher to face Dowling. Greg would end up striking out to end the game.

Tomorrow vs Beloit 6pm
Santo Arias (2-2, 2.59), vs Scott Hodsdon (3-4, 4.38)
Notes-Today we had everyones favorite?, Myron Noodleman at the game. He has changed his act a little over the years, but not much. Also Dale Klein was season ticket holder of the home stand and threw out first pitch to Cougar catcher Jonathan Johnston. It looked more like a really old, old timers game the way he threw it, but it got there in the end.
