The offense for the Cougars came to Appleton, Wisconsin, and found their way to the ballpark. They scored seven runs, two homers and a win.

James Heuser pitched great, he had a complete game victory in game one of the double header. He got his fourth win of the season.

Heuser never really got into trouble. He gave up a two outs single to Leury Bonilla in the second. In the fourth he gave up a leadoff single to Greg Halman. Kuo Hui Lo then reached on a fielder's choice, with Halman out at second. Heuser then was able to get an inning ending double play. In the fifth inning Heuser gave up a two out single to Jair Fernandez. In the ninth inning Heuser gave up a two out double to Alex Liddi. It was the first extra base hit for the Rattlers all day. James then got Bonilla to line out to second to end the game.

The Cougars offense got rolling in the first inning. With two outs, Jermaine Mitchell singled to center. Greg Dowling then walked, A passed ball then moved the runners along. Mike Affronti then returned to the lineup for the first time in a week, and hit a three run homer. In the second inning the Cougars had another chance in the second. David Castillo led off with a walk. Matt Sulentic then singled to right. Sammy Hernandez then struck out. Mike Massaro moved the runners along with a ground out. Larry Cobb then popped out to end the inning.

In the third innin, Affronti doubled to right center with two outs. Todd Johnson then walked. Castillo flew out to right to end the inning. In the fourth inning Matt Sulentic led it off with a solo homer. Hernandez then singled to right. Massaro reached on a fielder's choice with Hernandez out at second. Massaro would steal second, or actually attempt to steal, as he would've been out but the second baseman droped the ball. He then stole third. Larry Cobb then reached on another fielder's choice with Massaro being out at the plate.

More fun for the Cougars in the fifth as they would score two runs. Dowling led it off by reaching on a droped third strike, passed ball. Affronti then singled to right. Johnson was able to get the sacrifice bunt down right, and Dowlin would be cut down at third. A wild pitch moved the runners along. Castillo then walked to load the bases. The Rattlers then made a pitching change. Sulentic greated the new pitcher with a single to left to score Affronti. Hernandez then would walk to force in Affronti.

The final run of the game would come in the seventh for the Cougars as, Affronti led off the inning by being hit by a pitch. Johnson followed with a single to left. One out later, and a new pitcher, Sulentic grounded out to second to allow Affronti to score.
