Henry Rodriguez pitched four and one thirds innings of no hit baseball. His only inning in which he had any problems was the fifth. He went five innings, giving up two hits and two runs. Henry walked two and struck out six. He retired the first eight he faced, before giving up a leadoff walk in the third to Juan Diaz, after that he retired the next five.

In the fifth inning with one out, Leury Bonilla hit a chopper to first, the ball hit the lip of the infield and bounced over first basemans Haas Pratts head for the first hit of the game. Rodriguez then got wild and walked Kalin Sams. One out later, Juan Diaz doubled down the left field line to drive home both Bonilla and Sams.

The Cougars offense was good again, for the second game in a row. The scoring started in the third inning, with one out, Sammy Hernandez walked. Mike Massaro then took a walk. One out later Jermaine Mitchell grounded one to first, the first baseman lobbed it to the pitcher covering, and he missed the bag. Hernandez would score on the play. Greg Dowling then hit a double down the right field line to score both Massaro and Mitchell.

In the fourth inning the Cougars would score two more runs. Alex Valdez led off with a single to left, then stole second. Gustavo Rosendo followed with a single to right. Matt Sulentic then grounded out to second, Valdez would score. One out later, Massaro singled to left to score Rosendo.

With one out in the fifth inning, Greg Dowling singled to center. Pratt then doubled down the left field line to drive home Dowling. Valdez then reached on an error by the shortstop. Rosendo would hit into an inning ending double play.

Those wouldn't be the only chances the Cougars would have in this game. In the first inning with two outs, Mitchell doubled down the left field line, he would get to third on an error by the left fielder. Dowling then lined to left to end the inning. In the sixth inning with one out, Sammy Hernandez blooped one into right field for a hustle double. Massaro moved him to third with a ground out. Larry Cobb struck out to end the inning.
