The Cougars got behind early and just couldn't crawl back. They would lose to the Beloit Snappers 11-2. The Snappers scored seven times in the first three innings and never looked back. The Cougars are still in last place, thankfull with only five more games left in the first half of the season.

Kane County actually scored first this time. They would score once in the first and once in the fifth and that would be it, that is not to say they didn't have a few chances along the way. They stranded 12 runners, 9 of those runners were left in scoring position. They would leave the bases loaded two times in the middle innings.

Beloit answerd that run in the bottom of the inning with one of their own. With one out, Zamojc reached on a throwing error by second baseman Kevin Melillo. Zamojc got to second on the play. A wild pitch would send him to second, then another one by Cougar starter Jared Trout brought him home. Plouffe popped up to the catcher for the second out. Feiner struck out to end the inning.

Jeremy Pickrell hit a one out solo homer to right in the seventh. In the eighth, Plouffe led it off with a single to center. Feiner walked. Patterson then singled to right to load the bases. Cougar reliever Marcus McBeth then walked Fermin to bring in Plouffe. Burns and Winfree then struck out. McBeth then walked Pickrel to bring in Feiner. Brown then struck out to end the inning.

Both teams had a few more chances. The Snappers could've scored in the sixth inning. With one out, Fermin walked. Reliever Tomas Cabaniel then got an inning ending double play.

The Cougars let a lot of chances go by. In the third inning, Melillo led it off with a double to right. One out later, Herrera was hit by a pitch. One out later, Leslie walked.
