The Cougars are the 1st Half Western Divison Champs!!!

Two three run inning which were heavly aided by four Bees errors helped to seal the victory. The Bees did manage four runs in the seventh after two wild pitches and a balk but that would be all that they could muster against the Cougars pitching.

The Cougars took advantage of errors in the third inning to put up three runs. With one out Eddie Kim singled to right, he would get to second after the right fielder bobbled the ball. One out later Brian Ingram walked. Luke Appert then lined one to center. The centerfield had the ball drop out of his glove and roll around a little. Kim and Ingram would score on the play, and Appert would end up on third. David Castillo was hit by a pitch. Vasili Spanos then doubled into the right field corner to allow Castillo to score. Brian Snyder would walk. Dustin Majewski struck out to end the inning.

Three more runs for the Cougars in the fifth inning this time without any help from the Bees defense. With one out Luke Appert walked. Castillo then grounded to third, on the play Appert would move to second. Vasili Spanos then walked. Snyder doubled to center to score both Appert and Castillo. Majewski would follow with a single just past the first base man, Spanos would rumble round third and make it just under the catchers tag. On the throw Majewski went to second. Chris Tritle would ground to second to end the inning.

Trent Peterson started for the Cougars and pitched pretty well. He had one inning of trouble, the seventh inning. Besides that he gave up two hits and no runs. In the seventh though he would give up four hits and four runs. With one out Angel Sanchez singled to center. Mitch Maier would follow with a single back to Peterson. Trent made a good decison not to throw the ball. Kenard Springer then doubled just past the third baseman. Sanchez would score and Maier went to third. Adam Donachie then grounded one into the hole. Maier would score and Springer went to third.. After that Daniel Fyvie came on to replace Peterson. His first pitch went to the back stop and would allow for Springer to score, and Donachie to get ot second. Three pitches later another went to the back stop which moved Donachie to third. Walter Sevilla would ultimatley walk. The next pitch after the walk Fyvie would be called for a balk and Donachie would come into score.

The Cougars added another run in the eighth inning. With two outs, Luis Perez pitch hit for Eddie Kim, he would walk. Perez went to second on a balk. Nick Rogers then walked. Brian Ingram would single to center to score Perez.
