Only one team showed up to play today. Unfortunatly it was not the home team, as the Cougars would lose 8-0 to Clinton in the series finally. They did win the series though. Cougar pitching gave up 20 hits, and things just were not fun to watch the entire game.

The nightmare started in the second inning when the Kings got four runs. With one out, Kyle murphy tripled off the centerfield wall. Jose Feliz would then ground to the second baseman, Larry Cobb with the infield in. The Cougars would get Murphy in a run down and eventually tag him out. Feliz reached first on the fielder's choice. Andres James then singled to left. Matt Lawson would then hit one off of starter Jamie Richmond's glove for an infield single to load the bases. Renny Osuna singled to left to bring home both Feliz and James. Tim Smith then singled to center to bring home Lawson. Ian Gac singled to right to score Osuna.

The next two runs came in the fifth for the Kings. With two outs, James singled to third, then stole second. Lawson singled to right to score James. Osuna would be hit by a pitch. That would be all for Richmond. He went into the fifth inning, giving up 13 hits and 6 runs. Lance Sewell would come in and give up a single to Smith to score Lawson for the last run.

The nightmare continued in the eighth inning. Gac leadoff witha homer to left. Mitch Moreland then singled to center. Cristian Satana then reached on a fielder's choice, Moreland out at second. Kyle Murphy reached on a fielder's choice with Santana out at second. Jose Felix then hit a fly to right. Right fielder Shane Keough tried to one hand catch the ball, and missed the ball. Murphy made third and Felix went to second on the error. James then singled to right to score Murphy.

It could've been a lot worse, even though it felt really bad anyway. In the first inning with one out, Osuna singled to left. Smith the singled to right. A wild pitch moved the runners along. Richmond then struck out Gac looking, and got Moreland to ground out. Santana led off the third with a single to short. On the play, I actually thought Michael Richard caught the ball. He had it once then the ball went into the air and I thought he came back down with it, but oh well. Richmond then got Murphy on strikes. Feliz and James both popped up to third.

Lawson led off the fourth with a double down the left field line. Osuna then walked. Smith would then pop out to third. Gac singled to left to load the bases with one out. Jamie Richmond got Moreland to pop out to second. Santana hit one to the left field wall to end the inning.

The Cougars only got two men on in an inning twice. In the third inning, Shane Keough singled to the pitcher with one out. He then stole second and went to third when the ball went into center. Adam Klein then struck out, and Richard popped out to end the inning.

With one out in the fifth, Justin Frash doubled to left. Michael Lissman then walked. Keough would be caught looking. Klein then flew out to right. Their biggest threat came in the eighth. With one out, Klein was hit by a pitch. Richard grounded out to first to move Klein to second. Larry Cobb then singled to left to get Klein to third. Corey Brown then struck out to end the inning.

Roster move
The Cougars got the A's second round pick in this years draft Tyson Ross. He is a pitcher. I should have his page online sometime tonight.

Notes Well today was Jimmy Buffet day, Im sorry but im not a Buffet fan, not my type of music. Well lets, see they had the dugout tops decorated with like grass. Everything was all decorated in the theme around the park. Oh and the Cougars had on special jersey's for the day. Unfortunatly like usual with special jersey's around there the numbers are off what they usually are, but what else is new.

Notes Part 2-During the National antheim, they have little leaguers go out with the players to stand with them for the antheim. Well the one that was with Richmond, he had to be im guessing three or so. Well during most of the antheim he was playing in the dirt in front of the mound, then started to run around the mound. I guess someone finally yelled at him, as by the end of the antheim he was sitting next to Richmond.
