From the Kenosha Times, 6/24/1988
The Angels' Charlie Romero hit a smash to the first baseman who knocked the ball down but threw it wildly to Redding.
The offical scorer orginally ruled a hit on the play, but later changed it to an error.
Kenosha got all the runs that it would need in the first two innings. In the first inning Frank Valdez hit a two out RBI single to center. The Twins made it 3-0 in the second scoring two times on a bunt, and error and a wild pitch.
