Scoring eight runs on eight hits, is something the Cougars havent been able to do much of this year. They would do it on three homers, accounting for five of the runs. Another run came in on a wild pitch. Things just went the Cougars way at least offensivly, the Rattlers would give the Cougars five walks, of those five four would score.

The Cougars tried to give the game right back to the Rattlers as Wisconsin scored three runs in the game. They had the bases loaded in the ninth behind five runs. Cougar pitching gave the Rattlers eight walks. Two of those walks scored, and two other walks would accour in the ninth.

Joe Scott pitched well, his main problem was walks, he walked five Rattlers. Scott pitched five innings, in the first four innings he gave up two singles past short. One should've been an error and the other might've been an error. In the fifth inning things just didnt go right for Scott as he gave up three runs on two hits and two walks.

Mike Mitchell pitched well going three innings, giving up only one walk, and one hit. Five of the nine outs would be on the ground, wiht only one ball hit hard.

The Cougars started the scoring in the first inning. With one out, Luis Perez hit a solo homer to left field. In the third inning the Cougars would score three runs. With one out, Ryan Ruiz walked. One out later, Perez walked. Javier Herrera then took a ball just over the batters eye for a three run bomb. Myron Leslie then led off the fourth inning with a solo homer.

Wisconsin came back with three runs of their own in the fifth inning. Oswaldo Navarro and Nick Arroyo both led off with walks. Then they performed a double steal. Brent Johnson singled up the middle to score both runners. Johnson then stole second. One out later, Rob Johnson singled to right to get Brent Johnson to third. Mike Wilson grounded out to short to score Brent Johnson. Marshall Hubbard lined out to center to end the inning.

With one out in the seventh, Ruiz walked, then stole second. One out later, the Rattlers made a pitching change. The new pitcher then made two wild pitches, first one sent Ruiz to third. The second one would bring him home.

In the ninth the Cougars thankfully added a couple of more runs. With one out, Ruiz walked. Cliff Pennington then doubled to rightcenter to score Ruiz. Pennington woul then steal third. One out later, Rattler reliever Jon Lockwood threw another wild pitch. The ball bounced off of the backstop and right back to catcher Rob Johnson. Pennington was midway between third and home. Johnson threw the ball to third, the ball would get past the third baseman and go into left field. Pennington would then be able to walk home.

In the third inning the Cougars could've scored some more runs after the homer by Leslie. Jose Pineda followed with a single to leftcenter, he would then be caught trying to steal second. Nick Blasi singled to left, he would then be safe stealing second. One out and Blasi on second. David Castillo lined out to left. Ruiz would then strike out to end the inning.

In the sixth inning with two outs, Pineda would be hit by a pitch. Blasi he a double to leftcenter. Pineda scored from first. The only problem is that the ump called him out at home. It would've been a great relay but he was safe as he slid around the tag.

Wisconsin had their chances. In the first inning, with one out Yung Chi-Chen and Rob Johnson both walked. Mike Wilson then hit into a fielder's choice, with Chen being out at third. Hubbard then popped up foul to third to end the inning. In the third inning with one out. Brent Johnson singled? to short. ball stayed down ont he ground, but Pennington played the hop he expected. Johnson was then caught stealing. Chen walked, and would get to second on a wild pitc. Rob Johnson then lined out to right to end the inning.

In the seventh, a one out walk would be erased with a double play. Chen lined out to right and they were able to double up Johnson at first to end the inning. In the ninth inning the Rattlers would load the bases. Matt Tuiasospo led things off with a liner down the third base line. I thought the ball was foul as it got to Leslie. Leslie threw to first and Tuiasospo rounded first and I guess just got back before the tag. I thought he had him at first. Derek Tharpe then got Navarro to strike out. Nick Arroyo then popped one up into short left field. The short stop got the ball and threw to first. They almost got the runner at first to end the game. Tharpe then walked both Brent Johnson and Chen to load the bases with two outs. Rob Johnson grounded out to first to end the game.

Random Notes-Well the 5778 was the biggest crowd of the season for the Rattlers, there were lines everywhere for everthing as it was like at the Elf when we have 14,000 people it was that crowded......It was one dollar beer, pop and hot dog night. The hot dogs were bad but nowhere as bad a the Elfstrom Deathdogs.....The pizza was the worst I have ever tasted.......Before the game, it was interesting to see the fire department coming into the parking lot, as the gates were opening, with their lights flashing and everything. The had a gas leak from what I heard.....The Cougars are now 3 and a half games out of first.....Tomorrow is a double header with the first game being at 11:35 in the morining, I still say that days shouldn't begin before noon, but i guess I'll keep score while watching the game through my eyelids..Trent Peterson and Jared Trout pitch in the double header....Well Richard the team bus driver is driving a stealth bus this trip, as his regular bus broke basically all the belts under the hood just as it was pulling into Appleton overnight on Monday. The teams has a unpainted bus now.
