Somedays it just isnt your day. The Cougars would score one run in the first, then watch the Rattlers score seven to sweep the double header from the Cougars.

The good part is the Cougars scored one run in the first with one out. Luis Perez singled to left, then stole second. Javier Herrera then doubled to left to score Perez. Tommy Everidge then popped up foul to first for the second out. Myron Leslie popped up to third to end the inning, and strand Herrera at second.

The field fell in on the Cougars starting in the bottom of the inning with four runs by the Rattlers. With one out, Yung Chi Chen singled to third. Rob Johnson then hit a two run homer to left. Mike Wilson singled up the middle. Marshall Hubbard would then walk. One out later, Matt Tuiasosopo singled to right to score both runs. Matt T. then would be thrown out at second to end the inning.

In the second inning with one out, Josh Womack walked then stole second. Brent Johnson singled up the middle to drive Womack home. The third inning would be led off by a homer by Mike Wilson to right center.

The sixth inning was the last time the Rattlers scored. With one out, Brent Johnson singled to right. Chen then doubled down the left field line to score Johnson.

The fact the Cougars lost by six is one thing. The thing that hurt was that they had chances to just get close in the game and just never could get anything going. In the third inning, Cliff Pennington led off with a single to left, then stole second. Luis Perez then walked. Javier Herrera struck out for the first out. Pennington then was picked off of second base. Tommy Everidge grounded out to end the inning.

In the fourth inning it was bases loaded and two outs. Leslie and Padron both struck out for the first two outs. Blasi walked, then stole second. David Castillo was then hit by a pitch. Ryan Ruiz pitch hit for Gregorio Petit and hit a homer, foul. He would eventually walk to load the bases. Pennington lined out to center to end the inning.

In the fifth inning, Perez led off with a single to short. Herrera then singled to center. Everidge would hit into a double play to erase Herrera. Perez at third and two outs. Leslie flew out to left to end the inning.

In the sixth inning with two outs, Castillo doubled down the left field line. Ruiz then walked. Pennington would fly to center to end the inning. The Rattlers had one more chance to score. In the fifth inning with one out, Hubbard singled to center. One out later, Matt T. singled to right. First and third with two outs, Luis Soto popped up to short to end the inning.
