The Cougars beat the Chiefs in Peoria again, this time 7-3. The Cougars have lost only three games to the Chiefs all year.

Kerry Wood pitched an inning and one thirds on a rehab outing. The Cougars would get wood on two pitches. Jose Pineda fouled one pitch straight back and Raul Padron popped up Woods last pitch to second to end the inning. Woods struck out three of the four Cougars he faced, two of them looking.

By that time the game was 6-1. The Cougars scored their first run of the game in the fourth inning with one out. The newest Cougar Travis Buck walked, then stole second. One out later, Myron Leslie singled up the middle to score Buck. Raul Padron then followed with a single to right. Gregorio Petit would hit into a force play to end the inning.

Another run for the Cougars in the fifth inning. Cliff Pennington led it off with a single to left. One out later, Javier Herrera would reach on an error by the second baseman. Pennington and Herrera then performed a double steal. Tommy Everidge then walked to load the bases. More of the same for the Cougars as they left runners in scoring position. In the first inning, Pennington led off the game with a single to left, then stole second and third. Random Notes-It was the biggest crowd i've ever seen in Peoria. I mean there was actually a line to get into the place...Travis Buck was a first round supplemental pick of the A's this year... To make room Nick Blasi went on the disabled list..Well lets see Mark Regole won the fantasy game for today. Barb Maabs is still in front with 30 points for the year..finally no one has negative points for the year.so i guess thats a start. http://malamut.net/fantasygame.html
