Dr. Mederith J. Wills
Meredith was born on Opening Day and was three weeks old when she attended her first MLB game. A life-long fan, she has been an offical scorer for various teams since the age of fifteen, eventually developing and copyrighting her own scoring system. After earning a Ph.D. in solar astrophysics, Mederith spent two decadres doing NASA-funded research before turning her sights back to baseball: where her experience analyzing spatial data has proven ideal for working with the newly-available ball and player tracking technology (e.g. TrackMan and Statcast) In her spare time Meredith is a knitting designer, and she has several pieces-including a pair of nationally award winning socks-in the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum at Cooperstown. She currently resides in Ohskosh, Wisconsin. Twitter @Bbl_astrophyscs
