The Wisconsin TimberRattlers began their season by beating the Beloit Snappers 3-1 at Beloit on Thursday.
Trailing 1-0, the TimberRattlers tied the game in the fifth inning on Greg Dobbs' home run off Snappers reliever Danny Kolb
Jeff Ellena scored the winning run on inning later when he singled, stole second and score on a single by Miguel Villilo
TimberRattlers start Patrick Barnes pitched five innings, allowing three hits, three walks and a run, while striking out seven.
Daniel Head struck out four batters over the next three innings to get credit for the victory, while Lanny Patten pitched a perfect ninth to earn the save.
