It was a sloppy day for both teams, but the Wiscosnin Timber Rattlers (6-3) secured a 7-6 win over the Burlington Bees in a Midwest League baseball game Friday night at Burlington, Iowa, by virtue of an error.
Timber Rattlers left fielder Miguel Villilo scored the game winning run in the top of the ninth inning when Burlington's right fielder Odannys Ayala made a throwing mistake that allowed Villilo to get home from second base.
Though the error cost the Bees the game, the Rattlers also struggled committing five errors.
Wisconsin had 15 hits in the game led by infielder Alejandro Cadena, who had four hits and five RBI.
Timber Rattlers starting pitcher Ryan Rowland-Smith survived until there was one out in the sixth, allowing just three hits and striking out three. All three of the runs he gave up were unearned.
