Wisconsin TimberRattlers slugger Sean Peless had his third two homer game of the season Tuesday night at Fox Cities Stadium in Grand Chute, but that wasn't enough for the Rattlers to overcome as they lost to Clinton 6-2 in a Midwest League baseball game.
Peless, a left handed hitter, hit both of his solo shots over the left field wall to account for the only runs Wisconsin scored. He has a league leading seven homers this year.
Clinton's Danny Rombley led off the game with a single to left and eventually scored on a single by Josh Labandeira. Labandeira and Dominick Ambrosini hit back to back homers in the third inning, and the Rattlers never threatended to catch up after that.
Wisconsin starting pitcher Ryan Rowland-Smith had probably his best outing of the season, going into the fifth inning, with seven strikeouts and only one walk. However the TimberRattlers' two through five hitters went a combined 0-16.
