Marshall walked for the second time. After several unsuccesful throws to first, finally first baseman Cates let a throw from pitcher Bracco get away from him and roll toward the Clinton bullpen. Marshall sped to third. Two pitches later he scored on a wild pitch. Waterloo 1, Clinton 0
