League Changes
The league changed it's divisional structure. The previous Northern and Southern Division were replaced with Western, Central and Eastern divisions

The leagues playoff structure was modified, with 8 teams quialifying. 2 half season champions per division, plus wild cards

Beloit: changed name from Brewers to Snappers
Burlington: changed affiliation from Expos to Giants
Michigan: moved from Madison, WI, changed name from Hatters to Battle Cats, changed affiliation from Cardinals to Red Sox. This team was temporarily known as the Battle Creek Golden Kazoos
Peoria: changed affiliation from Cubs to Cardinals
Rockford: changed name from Royals to Cubbies, changed affiliation from Royals to Cubs
Springfield: changed affiliation from Padres to Royals
Wisconsin: changed name from Appleton to Wisconsin

Wisconsin: Fox Cities Stadium was new
Michigan: C.O. Brown stadium, while constructed for amateur baseball in 1989, was extensively modified and new to the league.
