The pitching and the deffense came up and bite the Cougars again, this time with five errors and nine runs. Denny Baitosta did not last but more than into the fourth. He gave up six runs and ten hits. The Snappers just out played the Cougars today.

Ryan Miller for the Snappers started and went five innings, he gave up eight hits and two runs. THe rest of the bullpen (Mike Shwam, Ruddy Lugo and Victor Cordero) combined to go four innings, one hit, no runs, four walks and two strikeouts.

Jude Voltz lead the way for the Snappers getting three hits, two doubles, and drove home four runs. He also scored two runs.

The bullpen realy did not do much better for the Cougars, Chris Key and Mike Flannery combined to go four and one thirds innings. They gave up three hits and three runs. Only one of the runs was earned. One walk and three strikeouts.

Jim Kavourias got two hits and one of them left the field for his ninth of the season. Migeul Cabrera also got two hits.



The scoring started in the top of the first when 2000 first round pick, Dave Krynzel walked. Scott Canderlaria then reached on a fielder's choice, Krynzel was out at second. Daryl Clark walked. Derry Hammond then singled to left to score Candelaria. Jude Voltz was up next and he doubled to right to score both Clark and Hammond. Eliezer Alfonzo who played last year in Peoria, singled to center to score Voltz.

The Snappers then added one more in the third when Voltz singled to left to lead off the inning. Alfonzo then singled to left. Voltz was then caught on the double steal attempt, Alfonzo was safe at second. One out later Hector Garcia, lined one on the ground to third baseman Josh Willingham, the ball bounced off of his shoulder and into leftfield. Alfonzo socred on the play.

One more in the fourth for the Snappers when Krynzel singled to center, then moved to second on a wild pitch. Two outs later, Derry Hammomnd would walk. Jude Voltz then reached on an error by shortstop Miguel Cabrera, the ball just bounced around Cabrera and into left field. On the play Krynzel scored.

The Cougars would get on the board in the fifth when Will Smith lead the inning off with a double to left. One out later Jim Kavourias hit a bomb onto the deck in left.

Beloit just kept on coming with more runs in the seventh when Voltz lead off the inning with a walk. Alfonzo then singled to left. Nelson De los Santos then put down a sacrifice bunt to move the runners over. Hector Garcia then reached on an error by third baseman Matt Postell. On the play both Voltz and Alfonzo would score.

One more run for the Snappers to seal the game in the eighth when, with one out Daryl Clark tripled to center. One out later Voltz doubled to center to score Clark.

Notes-Miguel Cabrera was taken out of the game in the fifth after he fell over Alfonzo in the first, when Alfonzo broke up a double play, twisted ankle

Ok there were six errors in the game, the sixth came when the women in section 106, row H, seat 14, (CATHY) dropped an easy pop up with a softy baseball, come on it was a softy baseball.
